ROD RUN OFFICIAL VEHICLE REGISTRATION

JULY 2, 3, 4 - 2010 • HUTCHINSON, KANSAS

OPEN TO ANTIQUE CARS & TRUCKS, CUSTOM RODS, STREET RODS, MUSCLE CARS, MOTORCYCLES, CUSTOM TRUCKS, RAT RODS, EXOTIC AND WRAPPED VEHICLES.

ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE SHOW AND RECEIVE THEIR PREDETERMINED RESERVED PARKING SPACE WITH AN ASSIGNED NUMBER PRIOR TO PARKING IN SHOW AREA. SECURITY, BOTH OVERNIGHT AND DAYTIME WILL BE PROVIDED DURING THE EVENT. REGISTRATION FEE IS FOR ALL DAYS OF THE EVENT.

TROPHIES WILL BE AWARDED BY CLASS. SELECT YOUR CLASS BELOW AS YOU REGISTER YOUR VEHICLE. THE J.D. HAYES MEMORIAL, BEST OF SHOW AWARD, WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE CAR DETERMINED BY THE JUDGES TO BE THE TOP CAR OF THE SHOW. THE CAR WINNING THIS AWARD WILL BE FEATURED ON THE HUTCHINSON ROCKIN’ ROLLIN’ ROD RUN LOGO FOR 2011.

This year’s Rod Run will offer a “BEST CLUB DISPLAY” category that will pay a total of $1,000. Participaing clubs will be assigned to either the Meadowlark or Sunflower South Buildings show area. Cash Awards: 1st Place - $550, 2nd Place - $300, 3rd Place - $150. Club vehicles (minimum of 6) must be pre-entered to reserve space. It is mandatory to have a theme display with common barriers around all vehicles with signage, and all club vehicles must be in place no later than 8 pm Friday, July 2. To reserve club space, email jerry@hutchrodrun.com with club name and names of all club members participating.

This year’s Rod Run will combine the best of a traditional Rod Run and the best of an Indoor Car Show. It will offer 100,000 sq ft of indoor vehicle display area. Each of four (4) buildings on the Fairgrounds is climate controlled: the 40,000 sq ft Meadowlark Building, 30,000 sq ft Pride of Kansas Building, 15,000 sq ft Sunflower South Building and the 15,000 sq ft Sunflower North Building. Also, available for vehicle parking is 80,000 sq ft of outdoor grass parking. Vehicles shown in the Meadowlark Building and Sunflower South Building will be designated as permanent parking show area*, and vehicles will not be able to be moved in and out during the show. Vehicles shown in the Pride of Kansas and Sunflower North Buildings will be able to move in and out on a daily basis**. The vehicles in these two (2) buildings will need to be parked by 10 am each day, and can leave after 6 pm each day. All vehicles parked outside can come and go as they wish.

A confirmation of entry and official entry number will be furnished by return mail.

OFFICIAL VEHICLE REGISTRATION – RESTRICTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Show quality vehicles with no broken glass.
  • All street legal equipment is required.
  • Exceptions for minor items may be made at the discretion of the organizers.
  • Upon inspection of pre-registered vehicle, organizers reserve the right to revoke registration. If revoked, fee will be refunded within three weeks after event.
  • No unauthorized bicycles, skate boards, golf carts, or motorized carts are allowed within event boundaries.
  • No roping off of large sections or spaces other than for club registration, is allowed. (All spaces are assigned numbers.)
  • Vehicles activating hydraulics and/or air bags; flames from exhaust; obscene or offensive artwork, signs, stickers, etc. are prohibited.

GENERAL INFORMATION: The 2010 Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run will be presented at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas on July 2-3-4, 2010 with activities to be produced and conducted at various locations within the fairgrounds. All identification materials, windshield sticker and admission credentials will be issued at the eventʼs registration office (based on registration schedule) upon presentation of your confirmation letter. No admission permitted in show area for vehicles without windshield sticker in place. Entry fee includes vehicle entry, a dash plaque, and two (2) tickets to the Friday and two (2) tickets to the Saturday Stock Car Races. All other event activities are free within the show area.

LIABILITY: In consideration of acceptance of this entry and the right to participate, entrant, on entrantʼs own behalf and on behalf of entrantʼs guests and participants, does hereby unconditionally agree to fully release, discharge and hold harmless the Hutchinson Rod Run, Inc., the City of Hutchinson, the Kansas State Fairgrounds, their officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, servants and anyone else connected with the management or presentation of the Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run of and from any and all known or unknown damages, injuries, losses, judgments and/or claims from any cause whatsoever that may be suffered by entrant to their person or property and the person of entrantʼs guests and participants. Further, each entrant expressly agrees to indemnify and hold harmless all of the foregoing entities, firms, persons and bodies from any and all liability occasioned or resulting from the conduct of entrant, their participants or guests, or any individual assisting or cooperating with entrant or under the direction or control of entrant which may cause injury to the person or property of others while in attendance or participating in the activities of the Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run. Entrant agrees that participation in any activities, contests or games may be limited to vehicles which have completed the Official Vehicle Registration. Entrant on entrantʼs own behalf and on behalf of entrantʼs participants or guests, acknowledges and agrees that in the event of any claim or controversy arising between entrant and Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run, that this Agreement has been entered into in Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas and that any and all claims or controversy shall be under the jurisdiction of the Kansas Courts in Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas. The Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run will endeavor to make all reasonable accommodations so that all aspects of this event are accessible to persons with disabilities. ENTRY & ADVERTISING RELEASE: In consideration of this entry, car owner, entrant and spouse or guests agree to permit Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run the use of their names and pictures, and pictures of the vehicle for publicity, advertising and commercial purposes (including DVDs, the internet, magazines, newspapers, radio, television and video tape) before, during, and after the event, and do hereby relinquish any rights whatsoever to any photos taken in connection with the event, and give permission to publish or sell or otherwise dispose of said photographs to the Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run. All publicity and advertising rights are reserved by the Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run.

OPERATION: Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run reserves the right to enforce acceptable behavior during any and all activities of the event. Open headers and unnecessary tire-spin, or any other reason an entrant or their vehicle, their appearance or conduct are deemed objectionable by Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run, entrant and their vehicle will be subject to eviction from the premises. Any poor behavior off the event facility will be reason for denying admittance of vehicle and entrance to the event. This reservation includes persons, things, conduct, printed matter, or any act or item of poor character which the Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run considers to be objectionable to the eventʼs well being. In the case of eviction or restriction, the Hutchinson Rockinʼ Rollinʼ Rod Run is not liable for refunding entry fees except at its own discretion.
