HOT ROD CHURCH
Everyone is invited to join in a non-denominational church service downtown at beautiful Avenue A park on Sunday, October 2 at 10AM.
The sermon will be delivered by Kansas Army National Guard Chaplain Raymond M. Gillett. Chaplain Gillett, an advocate of the Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2) and the U.S. Army Warrior Transition Command (WTC) SERCO Contractor, will deliver a timely message to those in attendance. This year’s Rod Run event has named the Kansas National Guard troops now stationed overseas as the beneficiary of Troop Care Packages donated by Car Show attendees.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and sit in the grassy area in front of the Avenue A Gazebo for an inspiring start to the day. After Hot Rod Church, enjoy a “show and shine” of the hundreds of registered hot rods, street rods, rat rods, classic and antique cars, trucks, motorcycles and wrapped vehicles parked downtown for your enjoyment, visit the many vendors in Memorial Hall and enjoy a delicious meal from one of our food vendors. |
