WELCOME TO THE DOWNTOWN HUTCHINSON ROCKIN' ROLLIN' ROD RUN... a tradition dedicated to the American Car and US Highway 50 that crosses ‘America’s Heartland.'

In 2008 hundreds of cars and car lovers traveled Highway 50 to meet in Hutchinson, Kansas for the first ever three-day, rockin’ and rollin’ hot rod and classic car show.

2008 was GREAT...but 2009 will be BETTER!!! Yes, the first ever Downtown Hutchinson Rockin' Rollin' Rod Run was a huge success in 2008 with more than 350 cars registered - 300 from outside Hutchinson, and an attendance downtown of 25,000 people. It was a sight to behold. Hot rods, antique cars, dragsters, rat rods and classic cars parked downtown from Third to Avenue B – six long blocks of hot cars and excited spectators!

Just like last year, the two and a half day event, October 2, 3 and 4, 2009, will include a Welcome Barbecue on Friday, a Poker Run, Show and Shine, and Sock Hop Saturday, and on Sunday, Hot Rod Church, an Open Header and the Awards Ceremony. There will also be a Kids Activity Area, two stages of entertainment and plenty of great food and cold drinks.

But wait!

This year there’s more. For 2009 we’re adding a Neon Light Show & Cruise on Friday night, a Luncheon & Fashion Show downtown Saturday afternoon for the ladies (guys can come too), and Saturday evening, in addition to the Sock Hop at Memorial Hall, the party will continue on Main Street downtown with music and more of the car show.

Downtown Hutchinson Rock’ Rollin’ Rod Run is still a FREE, family event with fun and activities for all ages.
